Instant Ticket Access

The new "Instant Ticket Access" feature provides your customers with immediate access to their tickets right after purchase. We hope this feature enhances speed and focuses on convenience for ticket delivery.

When This attendee type should generate a ticket is turned on in your Attendee Type configurations, you can expect the following in each experience:

Admin Side (web browser):

After purchasing a ticket, a new section appears on the order results screen.

A QR code is always displayed, linking to the user's tickets.
A "Send SMS link to tickets" option is available for US and Canadian phone numbers.
The system auto-detects US/Canadian numbers and pre-fills the text box.
Users must provide verbal consent (indicated by checking a box) before an SMS is sent.
The system verifies delivery via Twilio, providing feedback to the admin if the message was Delivered or if it Failed. Error messages are displayed for invalid or non-US/Canadian numbers.
The SMS contains a short link to the user's tickets.

Attendee Experience (web browser):
When the buyer completes the buying process, the order confirmation page displays a QR code linking to the tickets.

When using a mobile browser, the "Finish" button at the end of the buying process is replaced with a "View Tickets" button, which allows users to access tickets directly.

Mobile (iPad/Phone):
The functionality mentioned above is replicated in the mobile app with a few extra helpful features. Phone numbers entered during checkout are pre-filled into the "Send SMS link to tickets" field on the confirmation page. Further, the error handling and input messages are also implemented on mobile to guide your customers if there are mistakes with input.

Exceptional Cases:
The short link in the SMS and QR code always directs users to a dedicated ticket access page almost immediately! However, on occasions, if the order is still in the processing queue, a "Your order is currently being processed" message and a loading indicator are displayed. The page will automatically redirect to the tickets once the order is processed.
