Multiple Currencies

Currency settings in Brushfire are controlled at the organization level (dashboard level), not per individual event. This means all events within a single dashboard will display prices in the same currency.

Payment Gateways and Multiple Dashboards

Each dashboard typically requires its own payment gateway setup. This separation is necessary because:

  • Different countries often require different payment processors
  • Financial reporting needs to be separated by currency
  • Payout processing varies by region

Multiple Countries, Multiple Currencies

If you host events in multiple countries that use different currencies, you have two options:

Option 1: Multiple Dashboards (Recommended)

Set up separate dashboards for each country/currency. For example:

  • "Your Organization Name US" (USD)
  • "Your Organization Name UK" (GBP)
  • "Your Organization Name Canada" (CAD)

Benefits:

  • Clean currency separation
  • Accurate reporting per region
  • Separate payment gateway management

How to set up: Contact our support team to create additional dashboards for your organization.

Option 2: Same Currency Symbol Countries (Limited Use Case)

If you use Stripe and operate in countries that share the same currency symbol (AU, CA, NZ, SG, US all use $), you can manage multiple currencies from one dashboard.

Important caveat: While this technically works, your reports will show mixed currencies under the same symbol, which can be confusing for financial tracking.
