Please Note: Development for the communities functionality in Brushfire is on-going. The feature is available for use, but the requirements and implementation procedures are subject to change without notice.
Communities are a way of automatically grouping attendees together based upon attendee types, registration fields, or other specified criteria. Seating communities were designed with managing seating inside large venues in mind, but can be used to form teams, small groups, or assign dormitories.
Create communities within your event's configuration and then give them tags that designate the community's purpose (adults, youth, kids, guests, special needs, interpretation, etc.). Then you can configure rules that are used to assign your attendees and groups to the appropriate communities automatically. Assignments can be performed in a weighted distribution or a fill and go-to-next distribution.
